In Memoriam of Hal Gemini

* 1977 - Oct. 2000

To all my dear friends,

I know you all are as concerned with your animals as I am.
I know you all
feel that they are more than just a pet, but a part
of your family.

I know
you will all understand that I am very sad today as I lost
a dear dear friend, Hal Gemini.

She was my beautiful Arabian mare that I have owned for
23 and half years.
I bought her the day she was born and she gave me so
much in her life.
She was the understanding companion that listened to
every problem.
She always gave more than one hundred percent of what she
was asked to do.

She far exceeded the ablilities of most horses perfoming
2nd Level dressage with grace and beauty.

She showed for me in Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure,
and Native Costume classes often winnning the
blue.
She was a halter champion although she hated conformation classes.

I
think I am going to miss her personality and charm terribly.
She always had
the most bright expression, looking at me when
I came in the barn, saying
what?
What are we going to do? And happy and eager to do it.

She was
excited to go on a trail ride last Friday and
to have a carrot on Sunday.

Then suddenly Sunday night she seemed a little "off" and I lost
her on
Thursday to renal failure.
I took her to the University of Minnesota and
there was nothing
they could do for her, I had to let her go.

But it sure
is hard.
After 23, almost 24 years, I don't quite know what to do.

Thanks for listening and I know you all understand.
If we love animals we
have been there or will be......

Mary
